Data privacy policy

The protection of your personal data has a high priority for us. It is important to us to inform you about what personal data is collected, how it is used and what options you have in this regard.


1. where can I find the information that is important to me?

This data protection notice contains supplementary information on data processing, in particular on purposes of use, deletion periods, etc. You can send a request for information in accordance with Art. 15 DS-GVO for this specific data processing to Andreas.Steffl@telekom.de.


2. Who is responsible for data processing? Who is my contact if I have questions about data privacy at Telekom?

3. What data is collected at what time, how is it used and how long is it stored?

Mail address of the creator:
The mail address is entered into the system by the user himself when creating vote objects (e.g. in a survey, quiz, interactive tools,...) and stored there (Art. 6 para. 1 a DSGVO). The stored mail is automatically deleted after 3 years of inactivity. The mail address is required for the assignment of the responsibility of each vote and for the assignment of the contact person.

Die Mail-Adressen werden dabei mit der Vote gespeichert und werden nach einer Standardspeicherdauer von 180 Tagen gelöscht oder später, je nach Verschiebung der Löschdatums. Sie dienen ebenfalls als Ansprechpersonen für Teilnehmer und weitere Stakeholder.

IP addresses:
Exclusively for checking whether the inquirer is on the Deutsche Telekom intranet. This information is not retained (Art. 6 (1) b DSGVO). Voluntary information: This is information that a user has entered, for example, via the creation of votes,a quiz, Q&A's or planning pokers (Art. 6 (1) a DSGVO). This data is deleted by default after 180 days, unless the creator requests an extension.

Logdata:
The basis for the storage of log data is Section 76 BDSG (2018) in conjunction with Article 32 (1) DSGVO. The log data is used exclusively for purposes of data protection control, data backup and to ensure proper operation. An evaluation of log data for the purpose of performance and behavior control does not take place. Storage of log data: 90 days

Integrations:
When using the integrations (Microsoft Outlook, Cisco WebEx, Microsoft Teams), care is taken to use as little information as possible from the respective application (mail address, time zone, ...) . No information is stored in the integrations themselves.


4. Cookies & Sessions

Cookies are only required for the collection of a user's open sessions. The sessions themselves do not contain any personal data. The session is automatically closed after 28 days.


5. Is my usage behavior evaluated, e.g. for advertising or tracking?

Explanations and definitions:
We want them to enjoy using our application and make use of our services. We have an economic interest in this. In order to further develop the application in as targeted a manner as possible, we analyze your usage behavior anonymously. It is not possible to draw any direct conclusions about you.

To improve the technical app quality:
In order to measure the quality of the programming of an app or to register crashes and their causes, the program flow and usage behavior are evaluated. Individual users are not identified.


6. What rights do i have?

You have the right,

  • a) to request information on the categories of data processed, the purposes of processing, any recipients of the data, the planned storage period (Art. 15 DSGVO);
  • b) to request the correction or completion of incorrect or incomplete data (Art. 16 DSGVO);
  • c) revoke a given consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 para. 3 DSGVO);
  • d) object to data processing that is to be carried out on the basis of a legitimate interest for reasons arising from your particular situation (Art. 21 (1) DSGVO);
  • e) in certain cases, within the framework of Art 17 DSGVO, to demand the deletion of data - in particular insofar as the data is no longer required for the intended purpose or is processed unlawfully, or you have revoked your consent in accordance with (c) above or declared an objection in accordance with (d) above;
  • f) under certain conditions, to demand the restriction of data, insofar as deletion is not possible or the obligation to delete is disputed (Art. 18 DSGVO);
  • g) to data portability, i.e. you can receive your data that you have provided to us in a common machine-readable format such as CSV and, if necessary, transfer it to others (Art. 20 DSGVO;)
  • h) complain to the competent supervisory authority about data processing (North Rhine-Westphalia State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information).

7. To whom is which data passed on?

To processors, i.e. companies that we commission with the processing of data within the scope provided by law, Art. 28 DSGVO (service providers, vicarious agents). Telekom remains responsible for the protection of your data even in this case. We commission companies in the following areas in particular: IT

Currently, our processors are: Amazon Web Services (cloud services) (Amazon Web Services Germany GmbH Krausenstr. 38, 10117 Berlin, Germany).

Due to legal obligation: In certain cases, we are legally obliged to transmit certain data to the requesting government agency.


8. Where is my data being processed?

Your data will generally be processed in Germany and in other European countries.

If, in exceptional cases, your data is also processed in countries outside the European Union (i.e. in so-called third countries), this is done insofar as you have expressly consented to this or it is necessary for our provision of services to you or it is provided for by law (Art. 49 DSGVO). In addition, your data will only be processed in third countries if certain measures ensure that an adequate level of data protection exists (e.g. adequacy decision of the EU Commission or so-called appropriate safeguards, Art. 44ff DSGVO).
