If you just need a short and quick introduction to the tool, have a look at our Demos! However, if you want to dive deeper into the matter, jump to the next section General. But before we go deeper into the documentation:
What is Vote?
Vote is the Telekoms own tool for surveys, polls or other tools needed for agile work. The development takes place entirely within the company, which means that no data is disclosed to third parties and is securely processed and stored by us. Due to this circumstance and many others, such as the official clearance for use within the company or the community-oriented development, Vote has been the standard tool within Telekom for several years and is used by our colleagues worldwide in their work. But how did Vote come about?
History Vote
Due to the agilization of the company, more and more tools were needed over time to better integrate the new way of working into everyday life. Until then, a lot of external tools had been used for this purpose, which had cost the group several million and had given internal information to the outside. Two colleagues from Regensburg wanted to change these and many other problems around the use of agile tools. After a relatively short time, Vote was created as a self-initiative by Andreas Steffl and Andre Artmann at the end of 2019.

The initial situation was not easy, as for such a venture a lot of knowledge and know-how in the areas of development, cloud, DevOps, marketing, Telekom processes, ... and yet there were many gaps in knowledge at the beginning. In addition, the two had received no budget and very little time for the project during working hours (daily business, projects, ...). However, due to the determination of both of them to push the project forward, they invested a lot of free time and their own resources to push the project forward. Through the two and the support of many colleagues, the rest was then history:
Development
- After 1 month: First prototype in the cloud & used by a small group.
- After 4 months: First major events with 300+ TN
- After 12 months: First Telekom-wide survey with 160,000 invitations.
- After: Townhall meetings, broadcasts, live events, TMTM, Team Award, levelUp!, People Lead Voting, ...
Due to the success and the many appearances, an image film of the history of how Vote was created:

Team & Community
The team around Vote has changed again and again over time. Currently, the team has two colleagues in addition to the initiators:
Despite the current size, the focus and the way of development are still the same as at the beginning. We want to develop a tool from colleagues for colleagues, therefore all members of Vote also take over the complete (first-last) support of Vote at the same time. So if you have any questions, problems or new ideas, please feel free to contact our team members directly or place your points via our communities.
